day 01 Florence-Chianti
Meet at Florence Airport or Rail Station and transferred to Chianti. Accommodation is a charming country estate. Introduction of the weekly programme with your assistant. At 18.00 wine tasting followed by a traditional welcome dinner. D
day 02 Chianti Region, Wines & Cooking
Morning excursion with your driver/host. Visit the Chianti Region Tour including Greve, continue with a guided visit to a balsamic vinegar cellar, this will be followed by tasting at a renowned winery. At 16.00 enjoy your first cooking lesson. For three hours, with the Chef you will prepare your first 7-8 dishes from the Antipasti to Dessert which you will enjoy for dinner by the pool. BD
day 03 Olive Oil & Cooking
After a leisurely breakfast, depart for a half day excursion with driver/host. On arrival the local expert will guide you through the olive oil mill, participate in tasting different olive oils and learn how to recognise the differences. At 16.00 be ready to commence your second cooking lesson, which will be followed by dinner with wine. BD
day 04 Open Air Market & Cooking
After breakfast we head off to the outdoor food market. Return to base in time for a light lunch and relax by the pool. In the afternoon join the Chef for your third cooking session.
day 05 Florence and Cooking Lesson
Transfer to local train station and board a train to Florence. Meet your tour guide at the platform and start a walking tour of this magnificent city. Learn about the Renaissance era, Florence and art. Remainder of the afternoon at leisure: lunch, shop or continue exploring the city. Return by train met and transferred to your home base. Then ready for another cooking lesson and prepare a traditional Italian dinner for you to enjoy.
day 06 Florence Departure
After breakfast depart with your driver/host to a dairy. Guided visit of the dairy and taste the typical fresh cheeses. At 16.00 be ready for your fifth cooking lesson, followed by dinner
day 07 Leisure and Gala Dinner
Your day is at leisure to relax until evening. At 19.30 meet for a Gala dinner, paired with appropriate wines.
day 08 Florence Departure
Your Tuscan experience comes to an end with your private transfer to Florence airport or train station.
Includes: twin share for 7 nights at a country relais, breakfast daily, welcome and gala dinners with wine, cheese and wine tasting, five cooking lessons followed by dinner, return transfer to local rail station, arrival and departure transfers from Florence Airport or Rail Station, English speaking driver/host, all transfers and sightseeing by minivan.
Notes: instead of the afternoon cooking lesson with dinner starting at 16.00 you can switch with morning cooking lesson with lunch starting 09.30. Upgrade to a historical villa on request, maximum 8 participants, city taxes to be paid directly to the hotel
