Your gourmet vacation will give you the opportunity to experience Florence in a unique way.Your private cooking lessons will be in a modern Cooking School, walking distance from hotel. The Chef who is also a cookbook author, was formerly the owner of a renowned restaurant in a seaside resort in Tuscany, she taught at the Professional Institute in Florence, then she opened her own cooking school in Florence. So, you will learn from an Italian Master Chef and Cooking School Instructor with over 25 years of experience in authentic Italian cuisine! As the chef is also a great teacher you will be deeply involved in the hands-on cooking session and creating your own dishes. These are more than “standard“ cooking lessons where you prepare a typical three courses Tuscan Menu, of course you will learn all about Tuscan cuisine, but if you want you can choose among hundreds of recipes the dishes you will learn (pasta, fish, meat, vegetables, desserts). As soon as you’ll book your cooking program you’ll receive the list of the recipes. This is a truly tailored cooking program.

day 01 Florence
Own arrangements to your hotel in Florence city centre.

day 02 Cooking lesson and Market Visit
In the morning cooking lesson and market visit, lunch will follow, in the afternoon your local Florentine guide will meet at the hotel and will lead youon a unique walking tour discovering secret spots of Florence taking in unusual corners and hidden small squares. BL
day 03 Florence and Gastronomy
Spend the morning with your chef, you will visit the best shops, in the historic centre where you will taste Prosciutto, Tuscan cured meats and Parmigiano Reggiano, then you will visit the best cheese shop where you will taste best Italian cheeses (sheep, goat and cow). Then to a superb artisan chocolate shop, the owner and master buys the best cocoa beans and produces his own excellent chocolate. Your next stop will be at one of the most historic delicatessens in the city, which represents a classic meeting place for the locals as well as the preferred destination for lovers of specialties made with truffles. You will taste the famous sandwich with truffle paste. Your afternoon gastronomy tour will end at a renowned historic Enoteca (wine shop) where you will try the wine. Afternoon is at leisure. BL
day 04 The Chianti Region
On a full excursion we travel through the enchanting villages of the Chianti Region. You will visit the small villages, excellent cheese producer, an olive orchard and a flagship vineyard, in each you will be privately guided followed by wine tasting. You will learn about producing more than ten different types of cheese made with sheep milk, from traditional Pecorino to sophisticated Blue Cheese types which are served in the most prestigious delicatessen and restaurants in and around the Florence area. The owner will show how they manufacture their products as you visit their dairy and give an overview of the farm. After the tour there is a cheese tasting, olive oil and wines with further explanation of the products and wine and cheese pairing. In the afternoon you will visit a special vineyard, close to the village of Panzano in Chianti. Vintners of Panzano are a close-knit group that unites to control quality production and promote organic and sustainable vinicultures techniques. All the Vintners of Panzano share a strong passion for their work as winemakers, each of them making wine from their own vineyard. You will have a guided tour of the vineyard and a wine tasting, before driving back to Florence. BL
day 05 Departure
Your Florence and Chianti experience comes to an end after breakfast. B
Inclusions: 4*hotel, breakfast daily, one hands on cooking lesson followed by the lunch, market visit, gastronomic tour in Florence, half day guided walking tour in Florence, cheese farm visit and tasting, dairy tour, cellar tour, taste five different Pecorino cheeses, three extra virgin olive oils, wines, bread, Mostarda di Cremona (fruit chutney) and jam, wine tasting and tour of the cellars in Panzano, full day private excursions with English speaking driver.
