day 1 Rome-Naples-Pompei-Sorrento
Departure at 7h30 to Naples(possibility of pick up from central Rome hotels: please remind to order your box breakfast at your hotel the day before departure!) Upon arrival in Naples, the group will enjoy a nice
walk of the city centre. After lunch in a typical restaurant of Naples, the group will continue to Pompeii for a guided visit of the archaelogical area. This ancient Roman city was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 a.C. This archaeological journey through the ancient city will give you the opportunity to better understand Roman used to live at that time. The visit of Pompeii also includes a visit of a coral and cameo factory where we will have the opportunity to admire and purchase items made with a technique dating back to the Greek times. Proceed to Sorrento, the gateway of Amalfi coast with his colourful historical centre and pretty waterfront with fishing boats and new Marina Grande cruise pier, check in at the Sorrento hotel.
day 2 Sorrento-Capri-Sorrento
07.30 (approx.) departure to Pier and board the ferry to the Island of Capri. On arrival at Marina Grande, board the small rowing boat and visit the Blue Grotto (weather permitting). By minibus travel Anacapri. Where you will have lunch in a typical restaurant. Then return to Marina Grande where you will board the ferry for your transfer back to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
day 3 Sorrento-Positano-Amalfi
After an American buffet breakfast, we depart to Amalfi travelling along the breathtaking Amalfi Coast drive. En-route you will enjoy magnificent views of the coast and a stop in Positano for approximately 1.30hours. free time to explore the narrow lanes, the numerous souvenir shops or visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta (own expense). At leisure after check in at the hotel in Amalfi, stroll to the beach and explore the city centre of Amalfi. Overnight at the hotel.
day 4 Amalfi
Full day at leisure to visit the historic centre of Amalfi, justly considered an outdoor museum as it retains, almost intact, architectural and urban lodgings which reflect its past as a Maritime Republic. You can also visit the picturesque Ravello with the beautiful Villa Ruffolo and the magnificent gardens of Villa Cimbrone or relax on the beach. Have a romantic dinner in one of the pretty restaurants all around the harbor or taste the typical street food. Overnight in Amalfi
day 5 Amalfi-Pompeii-Rome
American buffet breakfast at the hotel and then, you have the morning at leisure.
14.30-15.00, meet at the hotel and transfer to Pompeii where you will join another group for your coach trip back to Rome where your tour comes to an end. Traffic permitting, 21.00 is the estimated arrival time (guaranteed drop off locations: in city centre.
