day 01 Athens arrival

You will be meet at the airport and transferred privately to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

day 02 Delicious Athens walking food tour

Start from 10am- 01.30pm : Meet at the meeting point for a different taste of Athens, a chance to join Athenians in their everyday life and experience a tasty slice of true modern Greek culture and delicious eating habits. Our culinary walk takes us to carefully selected specialty food stores to taste: Koulouri (sesame bread), wine, Pastourmas cured meat, cream filled pie, Souvlaki to name a few. We visit Monastriki, Psiri, Central Market area Varvakios Market.

day 03 Athens walking Mythology tour

Start from 9am – 3pm .We visit the mainstream monuments in a fun and light way, hear the myths at each monument but also what really lies behind the myth. The tour is not heavy with all the usual academic, historic information that bore and tire visitors after a couple of hours.It offers great insight into the Athenian Society and lets people understand the rise and fall of Ancient Athens.It has a greatly crafted story line, curated by a professional storyteller specializing in Greekmythology. From the rise of the ancient city and the Golden age to its downfall after the Spartan War. We will visit the Olympian Zeus Temple, Acropolis (Parthenon, Theatre of Dionysus, Temple of Athena Nike, Ancient Agora, Ancient Keramikos Cemetery. Optional transfer to meeting place on request.

day 04 Athens Home cooked meals

Today is a real treat, enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch or dinner at a Greek home and discover the secrets of Greek cuisine!. Athenian homes open their doors to welcome travellers into the secrets of Greek cooking and to introduce them to the ways of Greek hospitality. Visitors will have the chance to enter beautiful Greek homes, either traditional or contemporary, talk with Greek families and understand the culture and the contemporary way of life in modern Greece over a freshly prepared lunch or dinner with their hosts. Optional transfer to venue on request.

day 05 Athens departure

Today your tour comes to an end, you will be privately transferred to the airport.

Inclusions: transfers to/from the airport, accommodation, breakfast daily, tour guide, all tastings in food tour, all food and drinks in the home cooked meal tour
