2019 Turkish Experience

day 01 Istanbul Arrival
You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Istanbul.
day 02 Istanbul City Tour and Turkish Night
After breakfast take a guided tour of Istanbul, start with visit St Sophia, one of the most magnificent Byzantine churches, and nominated the 8th wonder of the world by many historians. Continue to the Blue Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Istanbul. Dating back to the 17th century, this is one of the principal adornments on the skyline of Istanbul and is also famous for its blue tiles and 6 minarets. Then visit the Hippodrome, the former centre of sporting and political activities in Constantinople. You will be able to see the Obelisk from Egypt, the Serpentine Column from Delphi and the fountain of Willhelm II. Our final stop is the Grand Bazaar, which in addition to its historical importance, is a bazaar that will tempt you with its rich collection of precious handmade carpets, jewellery, leather and souvenirs. During your tour you will also visit a leather or carpet shop and see Suleymaniye Mosque. Afternoon is at leisure. In the evening, you will be transferred to an exclusive night-club where you will sample the delights of Turkish cuisine. A four course dinner including drinks will be served while a spectacular Oriental Show is performed by belly dancers and folk groups from various regions of Turkey. BLD
day 03 Gallipoli-Canakkale
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Istanbul, and drive to Gallipoli. On route stop at Eceabat for a delicious fish lunch. Upon arrival into Gallipoli, you will be given a full guided tour with visits to the Kabatepe Museum, Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, Anzac Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery, Anzac Commemoration Site, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnston's Jolly (Turkish and Allied trenches and Tunnels), the Nek as well as the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. Later you will pass across Dardenelles by ferry to reach Canakkale. Dinner and overnight in Canakkale. BLD
day 04 Canakkale-Troy-Istanbul
Morning is at leisure. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant at around 1.30pm. After lunch visit the famous archaeological and mythological site of Troy, home of the "Trojan House" and "Helen of Troy". Following these visits, travel back to Istanbul. This package ends in Istanbul at around 23:00pm. BL
day 05 Istanbul Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport. B
