day 02 Brisbane
In the morning, climb aboard Mirimar II for an Aussie adventure like no other. A Koala and River Cruise is the perfect way to get up close and personal with Australia's cuddliest creatures while enjoying the sights and sounds of Brisbane's most attractive waterfront suburbs only accessible by boat. Once on board, you will have an entertaining narrated journey along the Brisbane River. The captain will amaze you with his local knowledge. For anyone wishing to have a snack or drink, there is on board refreshments available (own expense). Alighting the vessel at Lone Pine Sanctuary, you will have 2.5 hours to spend exploring the park where you can hand feed kangaroos and emus, experience an authentic Australian sheep dog and sheep shearing show, spy on a shy platypus swimming, see the amazing birds of prey and of course have photos taken cuddling a koala. After spending time at Lone Pine, we re-board the vessel for our leisurely cruise back into Brisbane where you update your friends of your day with utilising the free Wi-Fi access on board. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
day 03 Moreton Island
Discover the beauty of Tangalooma on this full day tour to Moreton Island. Surrounded by crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches and fringed by untouched national parks Tangalooma offers a unique adventure and nature based experience in a truly relaxed environment. Your cruise takes about an hour across Moreton Bay, on arrival you will have the opportunity to experience the 4WD desert safari tour including sand tobogganing. Then enjoy your buffet lunch followed by free time to explore this natural wonderland waiting to be explored. The star attraction on this tour is undoubtedly the memorable experience of hand feeding a pod of wild bottlenose dolphins. Moreton Bay is home to approximately 600 bottlenose dolphins and Tangalooma is very lucky to be visited on a nightly basis by a small pod. As the sun sets across the bay a pod of inshore bottlenose dolphins start to make their way in to the crystal clear shores and the dolphins begin to hunt, play and socialise right beneath the jetty. You will have the opportunity to wade into the water and feed these playful creatures. L
