day 01 New York Arrival
Arrive in New York City and transfer independently to your hotel where you will meet with your Tour Director in the evening.

day 03 New York - Montréal
Today, sit back, relax and enjoy the comfort of train travel and a gourmet picnic lunch while taking in some of the most dramatic geological and historical scenery along New York’s eastern border en route to Montréal. From Revolutionary War battle scenes to mountain resorts and the cosmopolitan French-speaking city of Montréal, Amtrak’s Adirondack serves up a kaleidoscope of scenes framed by your window. Upon arrival in Montréal you will be transferred to your hotel. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a welcome reception.
day 04 Montréal
This morning, discover the magic of Montréal through its historic and cultural treasures. Enjoy a journey through time as you visit Old Montréal and Place Jacques Cartier, a historic square in the heart of Old Montréal. Stop to view Olympic Stadium and St. Joseph’s Oratory, dedicated to the country’s patron saint. See Montréal Harbour, Notre Dame Basilica, one of the crown jewels in Quebec’s rich religious heritage, City Hall, impressive views from Mount Royal Park Lookout, and more, all while learning the history of this beautiful city.
day 05 Montréal - Québec City
Proving the romance of the train is alive and well in Canada, today you’ll travel in comfort aboard VIA Rail’s inter-city train to Québec City. This route follows the St. Lawrence River and passes from city suburbs to the rural landscapes of forests and rich pastures dotted with tiny villages. From the comfort of your seat you’ll enjoy lunch and views of the rugged Monteregian Hills that seem to loom up from nowhere. These huge volcanic mounds were formed over 120 million years ago and constitute very striking features of the landscape. You’ll also see a myriad of trees along this route, many of which are maple trees that produce the great Canadian staple, maple syrup. Upon arrival in Québec City, the oldest walled city in North America and heart of French Canada, you will be transferred to your hotel.
day 06 Québec
This morning, explore historic Old Québec City during a guided walking tour. Visit many of the city’s top attractions, including the Fortifications of Québec National Historic Site, Citadel of Québec, Notre-Dame-Des-Victories Church and more. Discover enchanting sights which are part of Québec City’s history from 1608 to the present day, and get to know this UNESCO World Heritage site through educational commentary from your tour director.
day 07 Québec - Toronto
Today begins with a short flight from Quebec to Toronto. Canada’s largest and most exciting urban center, Toronto is easy to like. The people are friendly, and it’s the influence of the city’s 200-plus ethnicities that together make Toronto vibrant. Here, museums, galleries and theaters rival the best in the world, culturally diverse neighborhoods feature eclectic shops and restaurants serving delectable cuisine from all corners of the world, and unforgettable attractions offer daily adventure in the heart of the city. Upon arrival in Toronto you will be transferred to your hotel.
day 08 Toronto - Niagara - Toronto
This morning we travel to Niagara falls. Enjoy free time or join an optional Helicopter tour that truly showcases two of Canada’s greatest treasures - Niagara Falls and Niagara Wineries - from the greatest vantage point available… above it all. Beyond the city limits of Niagara Falls lie the vast picturesque orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Fruit Belt. The soil here is so rich it supports over 15,000 acres of grapes and more than 70 wineries along what is recognized globally as an outstanding wine producing area known as the Niagara Wine Route. Today’s tour takes you over the Falls then continues over the wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake and lands among the vineyards. To complete this experience of a lifetime you’ll enjoy lunch and wine tasting after landing. Return to Toronto by bus for an evening at leisure.
day 09 Toronto - Washington, D.C.
Today begins with a short flight from Toronto to Washington, D.C. As the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. captures the true spirit of America. From the founding fathers to today’s president, DC is steeped in history and history in the making. Feel the presence of the country’s forefathers as you experience larger than life monuments, memorials, world-class museums and unique neighborhoods. No other destination offers such an inspiring mix of fun attractions and national treasures. Upon arrival in Washington, D.C. you will be transferred to your hotel.
day 10 Washington, D.C.
Discover the sights of DC while learning about its history and significant landmarks during a morning city tour. Highlights include the Capitol Building, the White House, the Supreme Court, Washington Monument, DC’s most recognizable monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery, site of the JFK Memorial and the Nation’s most hallowed ground. Ample free time this afternoon allows you to explore the Smithsonian’s many museums, Georgetown, or simply stroll the banks of the Potomac River at your leisure.
day 11 Washington, D.C. – Philadelphia-New York
Head north this morning to the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. From the Rocky Steps to the Liberty Bell and everything in between, there’s never a shortage of things to see in Philadelphia. Continue to New York city for the evening.
day 12 New York - Departure
Transfer independently to the airport for your return flight.
