Full day excursion to the centre of Sardinia. Historic Mamoiada, known for the characteristic masks called ‘Mamuthones’ and ‘Issohadores’, the Island’s icons. Continue to the rural village of Orgosolo, surrounded by the steep Mt Supramonte. View hundreds of murals painted on the village walls, the themes are mostly social and political. Visit the historic centre of Oristano and the Punic-Roman archaeological remains of Tharros. The trip continues to Villanovaforru. After lunch visit the outstanding 12C bC archaeological complex of the nuragic ‘Nuraghi’ Barumini. The next stop is Montevecchio, an old miners’ settlement and guided visit to a mine. Dinner at your hotel in Oristano.

Full day tour of Cagliari: commence from the colourful sea front to the pompous Town Hall, the refined palaces, the historic centre, to the ‘Castello’ with its medieval walls. You will visit the Archaeological Museum. Continue after lunch at a restaurant. Evening return to your hotel and dinner.

Morning visit of the Sacred Well of Santa Cristina. Then northbound to Bosa, on the north bank of the Temo River, the imposing Malaspina Castle and the sandy beaches. A pleasant contrast of cultural interest and beautiful surroundings. Travel along the panoramic coastline to Alghero (possibility to view the rare griffin) arriving late afternoon and dinner at the hotel.

Arrival in Genova is expected at 06.30 am. Your tour will end with a transfer to the station or airport.

Visit Saint Florent once contested by the French, the Genovese and Corsicans. Stroll through the Romieu Garden and the Citadel in Bastia.

Morning at leisure until your transfer to the pier and ferry crossing to Genova where you are expected to arrive at 18.00.

Travel through the Domusnovas, view the Caves of San Giovanni and discover Ortu Mannu, one of the most ancient olive groves in the world. Visit the Monte Sirai Acropolis and the stunning Roman Temple of Antas.

Visit the Nuraghe of Barumini, a WHS and the Casa Zapata Museum. Explore Gesturi and the natural parkland of the Giara. Visit the Bronze Age Megalithic Tomb “Sa Dom’e s’Orcu” in Siddi. Return to Cagliari
