Travel around Lake Ontario to Niagara Falls. Stop at Niagara on the Lake see the Greenhouse, Whirlpool and Clock. After lunch, don a raincoat and board the “Maid of the Mist” Cruise, for a close spectacle of the Falls.

day 4 Kingston and 1000 Islands Cruise

Travelling along Lake Ontario to Kingston and the 1000 Islands which dot the St Lawrence River for miles. Cruise the quaint Islands of the Admiralty group, Napoleon’s Hat, Wanderer’s Channel, the Bateau Channel, Mandalay Mansion and historic Kingston. Leisurely boardwalk stroll or join an optional trolley tour.

day 5 Ottawa, the Cathedral and Markets

On arrival in Ottawa your guided tour will include the Parliament Buildings, Rideau Hall, Rideau Canal, Notre Dame Cathedral. Leisurely visit to the Byward Market. Optional performance at the Arts Centre.

day 6 Ottawa-Train-Montreal

Visit the National Gallery, a visual Arts Museum. We board the train to Montreal and a guided tour of the French Quarter, Old Montreal, Notre Dame Cathedral, St Joseph’s Oratory and panorama from Mount Royal. Tonight’s dinner with entertainment will be at the Festin du Gouverneur, evoking past colonial feasts.

day 7 Montreal-Quebec City

Travel through beautiful countryside following the St Lawrence River to Quebec City. Meander the narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes, the French influence is palpable.

day 8 Quebec City and the Sugar Shack

Stroll through the beautiful Butchart Gardens. Return by Ferry then travel along the “Sea to Sky” Highway through the valley of the Cheakamus and where it plunges over an escarpment at Brandywine Falls. Arrive in Whistler, home to jagged peaks, glistening lakes and lush coastal forests, saunter through the village and the sites of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

day 4 Whistler-Vancouver

Explore Vancouver a delightful city with its Stanley Park, Chinatown and English Bay. Visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge, note the cedar scented rainforest air as you make your way across famous landmarks.

day 5 Vancouver-Sun Peaks

Today we take in the varied scenery of the Cariboo Plateau. Arrive at Sun Peaks Resort, a European style village complete with bell tower. Stroll through the narrow streets lined with welcoming restaurants and quaint shops.

day 6 Sun Peaks-Jasper

Following the blue-green North Thompson River, as it weaves through forests of cedar, fir and spruce. View Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies on the way to your hotel in the quaint town of Jasper. Remainder of the day is at leisure or join an optional Athabasca River trip.

Ride the Jasper Tram up Whistler Mountain to Jasper National Park’s alpine tundra and breakfast at the top. We walk down Maligne Canyon, view spectacular mountain crevices carved by the water. Drive to Lake Maligne the largest natural lake in the Rocky Mountains.

day 8 Icefields Parkway

Travel through the spectacular highways of the Icefields Parkway. It’s unsurpassed mountain scenery paralleling the Great Divide, see typical fauna and the powerful Athabasca Falls. Ride the Ice Explorer, for a close up of Athabasca Glacier, then to the summit of Bow Pass to Peyto Lake and the Mistaya River Valley.

day 9 Lake Louise-Takakkaw Falls-Yoho National Park-Emerald Lake

On to the famous Bow Valley Parkway and an easy walk at Johnston Canyon studded with waterfalls. Along Lake Louise surrounded by glaciers and the nearby Morraine Lake hemmed in by mountain peaks. Cross the Continental Divide where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans divide into the Yoho National Park with sublime views. Visit Takakkaw Falls (higher than Niagara Falls) and Emerald Lake with blue-green glacial water glistening.

day 10 Banff-Calgary

Explore Banff, stop at the historic landscapes of Cascade Gardens and Bow Falls. Watch the towering mountains disappear as you travel east to Calgary, nestled at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Farewell dinner at your hotel.

day 11 Calgary-Departure

On your guided tour Calgary we visit Chinatown, Au Claire Market, Kensington District. Then an elevator ride for unsurpassed views of the Rocky Mountains from Calgary Tower, walk “out into space” by venturing onto the new glass floor for a direct view of the city below. Afternoon transfer to the Airport.

On the Klondike Highway we pass Lake Laberge, view the Carmacks Interpretive River Front Boardwalk and the beautiful Five Finger Rapids. Arrive at Dawson City, the site of the Klondike Gold Rush. Tonight, Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall awaits you, the most unique and oldest Casino in Canada with can-can dancers.

We visit a Gold Mining Dredge, one of the largest wood hulled, bucket line dredges and pan for your own fortune. Leisurely afternoon as you relive gold rush crazed Dawson City.

day 8 Tok-Eagle Trail

North to Alaska! Travel the “Top of the World Highway” stop at the town of “Chicken” named after the Ptarmigan that resembles a chicken. On to the Village of Tok, where the Eagle Trail crosses the Tanana River and Sternwheelers once plied the River.

day 9 Fairbanks-Chena Indian Village-Palace Theatre Saloon

Stop by Santa Claus House, North Pole on the way to Fairbanks, the hub of Alaska. Cruise the Chena and Tanana Rivers on the Sternwheeler Discovery. See a plane take off from a “bush” runway, witness the “wedding of the rivers,” and an insight into the ancient Athabascan Indian culture on a personalised tour of the Chena Indian Village. Baked salmon dinner and show at Alaskaland.

day 10 Denali National Park-Mt McKinley

Feast your eyes as we travel to Nenana through the Denali National Park, the famed Alaska Range and Mt McKinley (the highest peak). We continue to your hotel in the quaint town of Wasilla, a paradise and host of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.

day 11 Anchorage-Storytelling-Dinner in a Goldmine

At an Alaskan Husky dog kennel, view the Iditarod video, then tour a kennel and have fun with 10-20 pups on the wilderness trail. Visit the Alaska Native Heritage Centre hear the tales through songs, stories and dancing. Dinner, inside a Goldmine at the Sourdough Mining Co with storyteller Dusty Sourdough!

day 12 Prince William Sound-Cruise

Cruise the Prince William Sound with a professional Naturalist Guide. The vessel hugs the coastline as icebergs glide by. Pulling into a bay the vessel floats up to a 1700ft high, active tidewater glacier! See otters, eagles, puffins, sea lions, whales and glacier-wildlife. This is wild, dramatic Alaska up close!

Depart Beaver Creek for the historic Burwash Landing, travel alongside the St Elias Range and Kluane Lake. En route stops include the Klukshu Village, Kluane Wilderness Village and at the Sheep Mountain Visitor Centre, home to the Dall sheep. Evening arrival at your hotel in Whitehorse.
day 15 Whitehorse-Skagway-Whitehorse

Travelling over the White Pass Summit, with magnificent views on the way to Skagway. Explore this quaint port village at your pace. Evening return to your hotel in Whitehorse in time for your farewell to the Yukon dinner.
day 16 Dease Lake-Jade City
Return over the Nistulin Bay Bridge and the Stewart Cassiar Highway, a beautiful region with plentiful wildlife and a varied contrast of cultures, old and new. You’ll never forget your tour of a jade mine at Jade City.
day 17 Stewart

Today we travel on the Stewart-Cassiar Highway, we pass magnificent scenery, abundant wildlife and the surrounding glaciers create spectacular views around Mount Edziza Park.
day 18 Prince George
Today we have another spectacular drive, through towering coastal mountains, icefields and hanging glaciers with rushing waterfalls, view Burns and Fraser Lakes follow the rivers and valleys of British Columbia on our way to Prince George.
day 19 Jasper
On to the Canadian Rocky Mountains, including a stop on Mt Robson the highest peak. Upon arrival in Jasper visit Maligne Canyon and Pyramid Lake. This evening’s optional experiences are the Jasper Tramway up to 2295m or a gentle float on the sparkling Athabasca River.
day 20 Lake Louise-Banff

View the scenic wonders of the Icefields Parkway, we stop at Athabasca Falls, Columbia Icefields, this amazing glacier’s waters feed into 3 oceans. Visit the Interpretive Centre, ride to the base of the glacier by Ice Explorer. Free time at Peyto Lake, stroll along the shores of Lake Louise. Then it’s on to Banff.
