and Egyptian architecture carved into 100ft of solid rock.
Visit the Fort and Citadel. Built in the 15C by sultan Ashraf
Qait Bey, it now houses a naval museum. The Library complex
includes: library for the blind, Conference Centre, Science
Museum, Planetarium, Restoration and Conservation Laboratory
and the Hall of Fame.
Return to the hotel after lunch.

Met on arrival by your guide, commence touring the monumental
Aswan High Dam. On to the granite quarries, used in most pyramids
and temples and the unfinished Obelisk, it would have weighed
over 1,100tons (the world¡¯s largest piece of stone ever
handled). Boat trip to the Temple of Philae on the island
of Agilka. The Temple was dedicated to Isis, patroness of
the Ptolemaic rule. Board your vessel in time for lunch. Sail
around Elephantine Island
on a felucca. Return to your cruise ship and sail to Kom-Ombo.

Also known as Haroeris, was the falcon-headed solar war god.
Return on board and on to cross the lock of Esna.

Across the West Bank of the Nile, visit the Valley of the
Kings, where the magnificent tombs of 62 pharaohs have been
discovered. Visit several of the tombs, then to the Temple

the desert in a series of terraces and merges with the sheer
limestone cliffs that surround it. View the famed impressive
Colossi of Memnon, two 66ft, 1000ton statues of Amenhotep
III. Lunch on board. Visit Karnak Temple, the largest place
of worship ever built. This complex of temples was built over
more than two thousand years by each generation of pharaohs.
Proceed to the
graceful Temple of Luxor built by Amenhotep III and Ramses
II. Return to your cruise for dinner.
